| Nursery Program | Feel comfortable leaving your young child in our nursery room while you teach a class or take a class with another child. Children will be in the nursery room with age appropriate toys and other moms who will be there to supervise (and snuggle). Parents with babies are free to use this room with their young ones for free but if you choose to drop off a child there for a period, there is an enrollment fee of $10. Enrollment fees will be waived for any parent teaching a class during that period.

| Science: Electricity
| CLOSED- FULL ENROLLMENT Students will learn through many hands on activities to make electrical circuits as well as other electrical "gadgets" which will foster a understanding of how electricity works. There will not be any "take home" projects in this class however students will use an science journal. Some reading skills will be required. Maximum 10 students.

| Music Appreciation
| Listen and draw to a few pieces of classical music especially written for kids, i.e. Carnival of the animals by Saint-Saens, Peter and the wolf by Prokofiev, A young persons guide to the orchestra by Britten. Learn to recognize the sound of the different instruments in an orchestra and understand how they work. Learn to play a little bit of piano and violin. (Repeat of Fall Session 2 class--same material will be covered)

| Learn music history from the time we knew how to write music until today, incl. jazz, classical, rock, pop. Learn how to identify the different periods of music by listening to typical examples. Learn about the development of the orchestra and recognize the sounds of the instruments and how they work. Touch on a few of the most important composers in classical music as we go through the history. Learn basic music theory and apply to learning a few children's songs on piano and violin. |
